Online Ad Companies for Publishers That Can Give You Trouble

web hosting solution

Nowadays, there are many casual webmasters who don’t bother to build their own content. Instead, they make reference to other website’s content because their primary objective is to make a steady revenue from online ads.
Anyway, there are many online ad companies out there. The most famous one is Google. Interestingly, a lot of them are located in San Francisco or the Bay Area. Some of them have high criteria. So you cannot get accepted unless you have tens of thousands of unique visitors daily. There are also some ad companies that accept an application from any publisher.

Worst 1 – Canep Media (http://www.canepmedia.com)

Indiana-based Canep Media used to be a nice ad company. They were committed to answering questions promptly. Now, they are terribly bad in this respect. At the end of the last year, Canep Media installed ticket software to support their clients systematically. But their ticket system often either throw away or ignore tickets. So don’t be surprised that you won’t hear from them after opening a ticket. If you need assistance, you have to be patient enough to open 2 or 3 tickets.
Canep Media sometimes deliver spam ads run by Malware Scan and others. At the very end of the last year, Canep Media delivered an ad which looked like coming from DotTunes.net. This spam ad contained an ill code, which caused Internet users to be involuntarily redirected to spam websites run by Russia-based Malware Scan. We have confronted Canep Media. And their excuse was that the ad came from AdECN, to which the blame should go to. Ad what? We have no business with AdECN.
Furthermore, Canep Media supports PayPal as a payment option, which causes some trouble. If you have received a check from them, you may want to ask yourself “Why are they sending me a check now?” or “Didn’t I choose PayPal as my payment option?” If you don’t want the check, you can send it back to them. But if you refuse to send it back, then they will charge you $20 for check cancellation. Only if you have some time to kill, try asking them if your payment option is set to PayPal after receiving a check. Nowadays, they are good at dismissing or ignoring your questions, though.
Are you fed up with Canep Media? Do you want to cancel your account? Well, that’s another thing with Canep Media. If you ask them to cancel your account, they will refuse. Ask them to cancel it twice or three times with ‘please.’ And they will stop responding to your e-maill messages or tickets.

Worst 2 – AdBrite (http://www.adbrite.com)

This San Franciso-based ad company basically accepts an application from any publisher. That’s good news for webmasters whose websites have little traffic. AdBrite also accepts an application from pretty much any advertiser. That is actually bad news for publishers because there are always bad guys who try to make a living by exploiting others.
AdBrite has been used by cyber scum groups to deliver spam ads. One such scum group is Malware Scan. They inject an ill code in a Flash ad to redirect Internet users and show a fake malware warning.
Furthermore, AdBrite is one of the few ad companies that offer only one payment option. They pay by sending checks. If you are located overseas, you may end up paying $30 or $40 to cash in every foreign check that you bring in. Even after you close your account, AdBrite will try to send you a check.

Worst 3 – AdJungle (http://www.adjungle.com)

AdJungle is also one of those ad companies that accept an application from any publisher. Their website gives you little information as to how their ad system works. You have questions? Don’t ask them. After asking a few questions, they will stop answering them.

I've used Kaspersky anti virus for a number of years, and I'd recommend this solution to you all.
